Hi guys,

Read pretty much all the threads on this bass.

Just interested in the measurements of the pickups. Im also wondering if some EMG Js would fit in this thing?

Im thinking that only the neck EMG-Js will fit, which are the shorter ones, i think this might be better i have heard they have more growl.

Thoughts?

I had a KSD and replaced the pups with Bartolini 57CBJD's. The pups in the KSD are an odd size. The measurement is 3.98". The problem is the mounting poles are just a little off. The Bart set I got was actually 2 neck pups. Very minor routing was required to drop them in.

For what it's worth, I recommend leaving the original single coils in there and dropping in an Audere JZ5D preamp. I also did this and quite honestly, the sound of the Audere pre and the original single coils was great.

Good luck...
