L1000 wiring help

Sign in to disble this ad
So I had a thought as I was about to take apart my L1000 and try a acg preamp...take a pic so I can put it back together...of course I ignored myself and after slot of sweat and frustration...I tried hooking her back up to factory passive and I can't get a sound out of her...worse yet I'm trying to sell her...and it doesn't seem like anyone is jumping on a bass that isnt 100% well.

G&L L1000 1981 (L1K, wunkay, GandL)

I am not getting ANY sound out of her. The last two pics on picasa show my wiring. Does anyone have a pic of the guts of a working L1000 that I could copy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the diagram is correct and totally functional. I just completed a fretless lefty 5-string build based of of this diagram

some of the components can be sensitive to being overheated ... if you're 1000% sure all of your wires are correct and there's no leads grounded somewhere they shouldn't be, I'd recommend taking out the multi-meter and checking connectivity

email me (NOT a PM) if you get totally stuck

all the best,

R
