What kind of sound are you aiming for?

Alumitones sound very clear and hi-fi, whereas Model J's sound deep, thick, and chunky. Both are great pickups, but it depends on what you want.

I tried an Aluma J bridge pickup, and it was the worst thing I've ever heard! I definitely would not recommend it.

I tried one. further up the neck when the string gets closer to the pickup up one finds the built in tremolo. Not good.

I'll sell you mine cheap.
I have an anodized black neck J pickup.
