lakland 4-94 pickup swap advice ?

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about replacement pickups for a 4-94(neck jazz pup + MM bridge pup).
I'm looking for a more traditional tone than the Barts that it already uses.

I love the single coil tone of a Jazz .
I'm also considering chucking the active electronics ?

Any advice or ideas would be great .......

Your 4-94 has Barts in it?

Install the newer Lakland pickups and electronics. They sound extremely clear, but at the same time, my 4-94 is the most passive sounding active bass I've ever used.

Does your 4-94 have barts or Lakland pup's ?

Mine has the newer Lakland Pickups and Electronics.
