Question Lakland 44-01

Anyone here ever install a Bartolini NTMB 3band preamp into a Lakland 44-01 bass? If so, are you using it with 9 volts or 18 volts?

Carlo

Haven't yet but am planning to. Never thought about the voltage requirement though. Maybe you should talk to the Lakland guys at the Dudepit forum

I had a local luthier (uncletoad) install a Bartolini NTMB 3-band pre in my 55-01... I had him do it 18v, and of course the existing battery box only holds one 9v battery. The 2nd battery is inside the control cavity. NTMB's can be installed in either 9v or 18v...

What sort of info are you looking for?

Mchack, did you need any routing done in the existing cavity for that extra battery? At the shop where I have my bass now they say they might have to do some routing.

I recently had the Bart MK4CBC pu's installed and they're great. Better than what was in there. Brian @ bestbassgear.com said the NTMB pre along with these pu's is a great combination. How do you like the tone?

Well, I still have the MK-1 pups in my bass, so its still got a nice growl to it... So, its going to sound different that your setup because you swapped the pups, too...Click on my bands site, & check out some of the demo clips for a point of reference.
