lakland 55-01 pickup swap,nordys?

hey all, i was wandering if anyone out there has swapped out the stock mk1 pickups for nordy big singles or fat stacks etc. i kknow that they are 2 mm. longer than the mk1's, wandering if they would slide in or is routing nec.? how did they sound?i dont have the bass but i am going to buy it if i can mod it. im not a fan of the mk1 ive had them in other basses.

I have fat stacks on a 55-01 and they fit right in. No problems. I setup mine completely passive and it sounds huge.
