Lakland 55-01 Upgrades?

Hi. I just purchased a Lakland 55-01 but I want to upgrade both the pickups and the electronics. I've been reading through some of the threads, but what I want to know are:

1. Does anyone know if there are pickups that are compatible (i.e. size) to the Barts that come standard on the 55-01?

2. Has anyone used Audere or Aguilar preamps with the 55-01?
