Lakland 5501 volume knob issue

Sign in to disble this ad
The volume knob also acts as the passive/active on off switch. I get little to zero volume unless the knob is turned up all the way. The knob is also pretty frewheeling and is not solid, tight and smooth like the other knobs. I think it needs replacing. What type of knob is it and is it an easy replacement job or do I need to take it to a tech?

Arrow

its a push/pull -volume-(audio) control, most likely a 500K (if your lakland has the stock electronics). if you have decent soldering skills you could do this yourself.
