Quick question...

Without tearing my Lakland HB DS bass apart, can anyone tell me more about the "dark switch/capacitor" which is used?

I find myself using this switch all of the time...while it is similar to running the tone knobs off on the bass, it sounds more punchy/aggressive than simply rolling off tone.

My real question is can it be "replicated" on another bass...I want to either add it to a P-bass I have, or a new DS bass I am having built.

I guess I could take the bass to a luthier or something, but before I spend the money on that, I didn't know if anyone had any more info here on TB...

Based on the description on Lakland's site, it sounds like it's a humbucker/single coil switch.

Actually, the Darkstar model (both pickups single coil) has a specialized switch in place of the "humbucker/coil" switch.

I was hoping someone here knew more about the way the switch operated with the DS pickups...
