I have a Lakeland JO 5 with the LH-3 preamp. Last night at church I had a terrible hum/noise. We were able to eq and gate the hum so I could use the bass.

Are the single coil hanson p/u's hum-cancelling or not., especially with both on. I want to make sure of this before I begin looking at ground loops and other causes. I used my 55-94 with no problem this morning.

I'm never heard of this issue from a JO5 but have you tried it through multiple systems?

the jo5 pickups are not hum cancelling
Single coil.
But should not hum with both wide open.
Sounds like you have an issue that needs addressing, though
