Master EQ Level Control

I had this idea for a preamp setup to reduce on-board clutter while retaining tone shaping.
(AND adding another tone shaping dimension):

I asked Dave from Audere about a master EQ level control.
This control would mix the overall EQ settings with the “dry” signal (not effecting the Z-modes).

My thought was to have four rear-accessed trim pots for the individual freqs, with the master EQ level control on the face.
Aside from a cleaner look, there would be the option of initially setting wider EQ sweeps, and applying (one-touch) heavier “shaping” when desired.
I was thinking 3 knob controlled pots:
-Vol,
-5(6?)-Way Z Mode,
-(stack) PU Balance/EQ level .

(shown from the rear)

(forgive any inaccuracies in the wiring, not my strong suit )

Naturally, if someone had a “pet” freq that they like to tweak on the fly, that freq trim pot could be a front loaded knob control instead .

SO
“Master EQ level” Control:
Good idea?,
or
A solution to a non-problem? ,
OR
An additional complication? - - -

Oh yeah, Dave said a master EQ control could indeed be incorporated into his preamp setup.
