Master tone / Individual tone switch

Hey this is my first post and it is halfway build and halfway electronics so if it should be in another place sorry.

I saw a thread about the '62 jazz bass 2 tone control vs the modern 1 tone control and I got to thinking why can't I have both?

I had an idea to change the controls of my jazz bass by replacing 2 of the pots with DPDT push pull pots and the last one with a concentric pot for the tone. I would wire it up so the push pull pots are in the first two holes on the control plate and would control the volume of the pickups like a stock jazz. The concentric pot would go in the master tone spot.
When you pull up on the first push pull it would put the pickups in series and the second would change the concentric pot wiring so the top controls the neck tone and the bottom controls the bridge tone.
I have worked out the wiring of how I plan to do this (I'm not a pro though so it might not work) on paper and I could try to draw it up with Microsoft Paint but it might be messy. From the technical side I think I can do this but I was looking for more opinions on if you guys think it's a good idea? would it be useful In a real life situation? Is it worth the cost of the parts? (also if anyone knows of a good site to get pots, caps, wire and output jacks for a good price let me know)

You can use a DPDT switch to toggle the first tone control between the wiper terminal of the volume pot and the output, and the second tone control between the wiper terminal of the second volume pot and leaving it disconnected.

With the series/parallel switch, in series mode, the tone switch would simply switch the tone control between the wiper terminal and output of the master volume.

This honestly sounds pretty pointless to me.

Why would you want to switch between independent tones that interact and a master? Just do two tone controls.
