Master Volume/Tone/Tone?

How would i wire this passive configuration into my Jazz bass? I wanted to do this as i never really turn either pickups down, just keep them the same level. However i would like too see what it would sound like with my 'Neck pup' tone set too 0 (No treble) and 'Bridge pup' wide open. Almost like the older jazz configs.

This type of setup, while possible to do, will not work at all.

When you have two tone controls in a passive circuit, any time the pickups are matched in volume, they become wired parallel to each other. Whichever one is at the lower setting will affect both pickups.

By wiring both pickups to one volume control so that they are always at the same volume, both tones will affect both pickups.

What about wiring pickups through the tone pots first? Then both into the volume, then too jack?

No, they are still parallel...

And that is pretty much the only way that you would do it to begin with anyways.

Isolation resistors may help prevent interaction but the output would be reduced.

This was an issue with the iso resistors on the original stack knob J configuration.

The current stack knob '62 RI J has no isolation resistors and the tones interact. Personally, I rarely use the tone controls on the bass so I don't notice it.
