ME2 2-band EQ: help?

I got a ME2 preamp unit from ebay, but the wiring diagram is for a RBA04M, and they don't look comparable. The big difference is that the RBA04M includes a balance pot and possibly a phase reversal switch. The ME2 is volume/bass/treble for a single pickup.

Any information on who makes this unit?
Does anyone have the correct wiring diagram for this preamp? I've got orange and red on one side of the harness connector, and brown and black on the other, all of a very thin gauge. One white and two black wires of heavier gauge are soldered to the volume pot.

So far, Google has turned up zilch, so any help would be appreciated.

Someone on a different forum believes that this is the same as the EP16-25 preamp on the Guitar Jones website. Anyone have a wiring diagram for either?

Well, after all this, and having installed it in my project bass, the unit is a dud! C'est la vie!
