Can the MEC Twin Jazz Pickup be coil tapped?

Also, does anyone have any experience with the passive MEC musicman replacement pickups? Are they noisy as some passives are? Thanks!

Don't know the pup but if it has more than two leads (or you can wire it as such) then it can probably have the coils seperated. There's no way to know in advance if a pup will be noisey or how noisey in single coil mode - but the probability is it will.
