MECs VCS BARTs

just wondering. ive got a warwick $$ and am thinking of sorta experimenting with it so what do you guys think about swapping the MECS out for a pair of Barts or maybe Lane Poors? comments please!

I heard a tale once that yanking out a 'wicks MEC's destroys its soul. You can put them back in, but it's never the same again.

Meh. So far as I've HEARD, most people actually seem to prefer retrofitting Bartolinis. All I KNOW is that the best-sounding Warwick I've ever tried had Seymour Duncan Basslines in it - and it had growl as well.

the MECs sound good enough as they are

but... I swapped mine for barts anyway, and it was a subtle but definite improvement in tone. just that little bit warmer, took the brittle edge off.
