Mid frequency pot popping
 

I have a ibanez btb700dx I got not too long ago and now the mid frequency pot makes a loud POP when I turn it to about middle position, it does not have a center indent, but whenever i turn past the middle position it crackles and pops loudly, what could be wrong with this?

It is probably just dirty. The first thing to try would be using pot cleaner and spray it.
If that doesn't work, you could just replace the pot.
