Midrange Knob, Battery Issues

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, so I noticed my active bass started sounding less full, and quieter overall. So I figure out that when I press down on the midrange knob, it sounds normal again, but when I let go, it sounds significantly different. So I mess around with the battery, and when the battery is in certain positions, it sounds normal, but right when I put the cover back on, right when it gets moved, it gets knocked out of place, and it sounds bad again.

Now something even more strange. After playing with the battery's position a little, I go back to check if pushing on the knob makes it sounds any different, and the longer I press on the knob, the sound gets progressively louder.

Any ideas? Or am I missing something very basic?

Yes, the battery connection is bad and the wires connecting the snap-on part need to be re-soldered.
