Mike Pope Flexcore Troubleshooting
 

I just installed my Flexcore with EMGs (pretty much the Wooten setup: http://www.bestbassgear.com/installi...n-retrofit.htm) and it works fine in passive mode, but in Active/EQ mode it spits out a heavy distortion, and the sound cuts off after about a second. Doesn't seem to matter where I set the EQ knobs or even the gain trim pot.

If it helps, I have this configuration: 2stk.2stk V/Tone stack, Bl, B/T stack, Lo Mid/Hi Mid stack, A/Psw

Let us know the solution. I'm about to buy one myself and need all the info I can get.

It's probably the jumper needing to be installed which is used only if you have active pickups.
