Millennium Preamp?

Sign in to disble this ad
A friend recommended a bass preamp called a Millennium. I was unable to find their website. I am thinking the name may be incomplete or Millenium may be a model name. Anyone know anything about this?

Peavey Millennium, not to be confused with their current Millennium BXP line. Discontinued, but still highly regarded/sought after. I believe you can still buy the preamps from Peavey(?). I bought one off of eBay a couple years ago. Well worth it, and I will have me an actual Millennium some day...

Very impressive preamp for sure. How much does Peavey sell them for?

I think you may be referring to a Millennia preamp. They make some pretty serious studio pre's. Their website is here:

It is also possible (depending on how much of an audiophile your friend is) that he meant Millennia. They make the TD-1 preamp/DI as well as the STT-1. Very high end stuff and soooo worth it.

Millennia Preamp

Your friend may be referring to a Millennia Preamp.

I was present during the recording sessions in Miami for the 1st Jaco Pastorius Big Band album a few years ago and several of the guest bassists (Richard Bona, Victor Wooten, etc.) played through a Millennia preamp to cut their tracks. It's an excellent sounding piece of gear. I don't recall the exact model number that was used, but I did make note of it for future reference. Unfortunately, I'm not at home to look it up.

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'll suggest that your friend may have meant the Millennia preamp.
