| | | | Modern Player Jazz pickups for 5 string? Title is the question. Does Fender make Modern Player pickups that would fit a 5-string string spacing in the bridge and neck positions? |

| | | Take a look at this Roscoe Beck 4 string.
Think these pups would work for you

on the other hand, i love the sound of the pups in my MIM Jazz V!

0049724000 Pickup, Neck, Lawrence
0049725000 Pickup, Bridge, Lawrence
Not sure how easy these will be able to come up with, but I think that's currently it for Fender offerings.
All the best,
Bob

Unfortunately they are only available as warranty replacements so you can't buy them. There's some good info on those pickups in this thread: Help on the Roscoe Beck V pickups

That would have exposed alnico poles.

| | | | If I was going to wire a 4-conductor humbucker like the Roscoe Beck series/single/parallel for each pickup, does anyone have a good wiring diagram for that?
EDIT: I see that there is a basic diagram in the Fender support PDF. However it puzzles me that the pickups are hum-canceling in single coil mode (like a Jazz Bass) when the neck-side coil is selected for both pickups. Does that mean the bridge and neck humbuckers also have the opposite polarity and phase to each other?
