New pickups heading my way! (Wal Content)

I've got a pair of pickups heading my way that were inspired by Wal and hand built.
I should have them in a couple of weeks. Alnico poles, 18mm spacing.

Here are some pictures.

I am now debating on which preamp to get. I'm leaning toward the Pope Flexcore or the ACG 01.

Any thoughts?

I bet it would be a perfect fit. Unfortunately SGD has said that the pickups and pre won't be available seperately. And we don't know when they will be released.

I am looking into the Audere 4 band pre as well.

These appear to be MPU's pickups, are they not?

You no longer have it? How did you like it? Which version did you have?

They are indeed from MPU. I am grateful that he agreed to make them for me. I should have a review soon!

I honestly don't think you can do any better than the ACG EQ01 (well other than the EQ03 that's only available on ACG basses) as it is a phenomenal pre and will help with the Wal vibe. I prefer it over the Wal preamp actually.

Yes. I believe I am going to go with the EQ-01, I'll just have to offload a couple more items.
