| Output jacks go bad pretty commonly. You can try to take a look inside, if it's a 'strat style' where you can see and get at the connection points, you can manually bend the pieces so that they get a better connection. If its a LP style (closed/sealed barrel) there's not much you can do, except try cleaning it, a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip works fine.
If it needs replacement, the part is typically about $10, I imagine a tech would have to charge $30 or so for labor, but if you or a friend are at all handy with a soldering iron it is about the easiest job in the realm of bass repair. |
