Question Noisy Noiseless Pickups

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys

I bought a Fender Geddy Lee Bass this Winter, sounded awesome but I wanted to get more sounds and be able to use my pickups to their max but single coils are noisy, so....

I opted for noiseless pickups. Ever since then there's an unbearable ground buzz - when I touch the strings, or bridge or plate it stops - but if I don't it buzzes like crazy.

I've been trying to ground different ways but it just won't go away.

The guys at my local guitar shop keep telling me that I'll never get rid of the buzz cuz it's a Jazz Bass, but that's why I put NOISELESS pickups in. I know other guys with noiseless pickups, and their jazz basses are quiet...???

Any suggestions or tips?
