Question Non-CB Bartolinis. Anyone?

Sign in to disble this ad
It's common to read that lots of folks prefer the CB "Classic Bass" Series of Bartolinis. Just wondering if anyone prefers or is just as happy with the NON-CB pu's. I see that BestBassGear lists both on his site. For non slappers, maybe old school type of tone, if the "muted" highs are preferable. Thanks.

I've used several 8S P pickups with excellent results...I started using them quite a few years ago way before the CB series came out so I'm not specifically familiar with the CBs.

I have their Roscoe spec Quad Coils in both my Roscoes(funny coincidence, eh? ), and utterly love them.

I have Deep Tone Quad Coils in my Ristola-6 and they sound terrific IMO.

I have CB series J-style pickups in my Lull 5-string, -to fatten it's tone up. My Ristola does fat tone really well so I plan on having the Duncan SC's that were originally in it put back in.

But the CB Series Barts are really nice as well IMO.
