Non-Darkstar Pickups for a T-40?

Sign in to disble this ad
What are my options in the cases that:

A) I can't afford a pair of Darkstars?
and
B) I keep missing all the deals on T-40/45 pickups?

I've read a bit that some folks think certain Dimarzio's may fit (X2N-7). Any thoughts?

Are T-60 pickups exactly the same as the original T-40 pickups? Someone told me they 'wouldn't work very well,' but they look the same.

Thanks TB!

T-60 pickups look the same but are much smaller, and wouldn't work for a T-40. Unfortunately I don't know of other brands that would be a good replacement.

Actually, I'm piecing one together from parts I'm gathering on the web (TB and eBay). I'm trying to see what options I have as far as pickups go, in the case that I miss any of the few T-40 sets that come up on eBay.
