nOOb question about EMG wiring??

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, so, the bass I am going to buy will have a volume and tone control, with a toggle switch in between the two, and it will be passive. However, I want to buy a set of EMGs and put them in the bass. How would I wire it all to the toggle switch?? Just wondering because the EMGs come with 3 knobs.

Never done this before, so, thanks!

What does the toggle switch do now?

The wiring would be exactly the same as it is now, would it not?

Just add the battery and swap out the current pots for the lower resistance pots that come with the EMGs.

I can draw a diagram if necessary though.
What kind of toggle switch is it?

The toggle is a 3-way. What I want to do is remove one of the volume pots and wire the P/J pickups to one single volume so that the toggle switch controls which pickup(it is on).

Basically, in between the tone and volume knobs, I will replace one of the volume pots with the toggle.

Nevermind, I forgot that I've already done a "universal" diagram for this setup a couple of months ago.
