NOOB Wiring Question

Can I use any brand of pickup with the EMG Solderless wiring kit or do they have to be EMG pickups?

I know I'll have to do some cutting and soldering.

Yes and no ...

The brand of pickups doesn't matter.
You can use any brand.

But the impedance of the pickups matters.
Low impedance PUs (about 2k) need pots with 25k-50k.
High impedance PUs (about 6k-15k) need pots with 250k-500k.
