Nords for my SR706...pluses, minuses?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all....

Just got a Ibanez SR706 recently, tried to get used to the Barts (bad relationship previously with barts...had a Toby Growler 5...arrrrgh. Swapped it for a Duncan MM and it was fine.)....

all my searches point to the nords, looking for the jazz-on steroids tone, need OUTPUT. my babies are two Czech Spec5's with DC40's wired to 18 volts. I'm used to the output and headroom, I know I'm not going to get the same thing with passives, but I'm willing to work on it.

Just wanted some reassurance before I pop for them.
Any and all input is appreciated. thx.

If Q-tuners are the same shape and size then i have heard they have pretty high output for passives.
