nords w/ east preamp

Sign in to disble this ad
does anyone have any experience with east preamps (particularly the j-retro 01 deluxe) and nordstrand pups (fats tacks or dual coils)?
it's between an east preamps and an aguilar obp-3. i know that the aguilar has good reviews with the nords, and i haven't seen anything about the east. after reading the nords didn't sound good with a roscoe bass preamp (forgot the name), i want to make sure i don't drop $200 on a preamp that sounds bad.
any other suggestions?

Not Fatstacks or dual coils but Big Singles. It rocks. I lend it to good bass players and they love it.

My experience has been with Dual coils with John East preamp Retro deluxe. The overall approach was great, passive or active. Highly recomended
