Sign in to disble this ad
I've been hearing alot of good things about this pickups so I decided to pick these over the SD basslines. Im redoing my bass so I was wondering if these pickups would work in this bass.

Here are its specs

Quote:
- pickups: 1 x bass humbucker - controls: 1 x volume + 1 x tone - body: solid alder wood - pickguard: tortoise/ black (bk) - neck: hard maple / 867mm/ 34 1/8 in. - fingerboard: maple / 21 fret - bridge: "jb" classic - machine heads: standard "p", chrome - colour: black.
If better pics are needed i can get them, just i really would like to know if this would work out

You will probably want to go with a 4.2. The 4.3 was designed as a replacement for the EBMM Sterling, which has a third dummy coil extending underneath the two primary coils. Unless you want to mod the route on that body, it looks like a 4.2 is what you will want to go with. Hope that helps.

Thanks much! So if I buy the 4.2 it won't have to be modded? Just a drop in? And its a 1 tone 1 volume bass, will that matter?

If you're really curious, measure the depth of the pickup hole and email Jay at Blueberry Hill to ask him. He'll be able to tell you for sure.

I've had great luck with the dual coil Nordstrand MM (which the MM4.2 is). A volume/tone would work nicely with it, and be easy to wire up. If you run into problems, feel free to PM me.
