Hi, I just wanted to share the answer I got from them when I asked if their pu's where noise free:

Thank you for your interest in Nordstrand Pickups.

The truth is that it is almost impossible to make a noise free pickup.
Bartolini comes closer than any brand I can think of.

As the pickup may be going into a preamp on the instrument, then the signal
travels down a cable, into the preamp and power amp sections of the
amplifier, into more cable and finally into a speaker... the way that noise
can creep into one's signal chain are more than myriad.

When you combine all of that with the fact that it is nearly impossible to
get "clean power" from a wall socket, you've got your work cut out if you
want to make a noiseless pickup!

Our designs are vintage in nature. This means that they are designed to give
you the best tone and the most signal. Some of our designs are hum canceling
but none of them are truly "noise free".

I am sorry I do not have better news for you but I wish you luck in your
quest!

Maybe its not the answer I wanted but its the best answer they could give me and I really appreciate that, its a fact that I'm gonna buy pu's from them I just felt that you don't get this honesty often.
