| Closest I heard so far is a Reverend BH5 where you had the option of switching on each pickup/single parallel/one big humbucker. That one ( which was in my hands less than a week) could mimic a T40 pretty well. But really nothing does the tone exactlyl. Maybe a DarkStar'd bass might.
BTW, I have the tone knobs on my T40 permanently at 6-7, so my t40 "voice" is slighly humbukerish, with just a bit-o-single coil left.
Not a great slap bass, like a Tbird, as the neck pup is right near the end of the board.
