Nordstrand in Fender Custom Shop

I just got a Fender Jazz Custom shop 63' and I like the sound of it. I have love for the Nordstrand Single coils and was thinking of putting them into my Fender. Any of you have tried that or have them in you Fender?

Is it the same pickups Fender uses in their Custom shops and ressiue basses?

No it's not the same pup. With more and more jazz bass players looking for true "vintage" sounding pups for their jazzes Makers like Fralin, Nordstrand, Duncan Antiquities and so on wind pups to (or close to) Fenders old specs of those years to cash in on that part of the market. If you got a custom shop Fender than it doesn't get much better than that! Those basses replicate the exact bass or those years down to the amout of winds in the pup wire. If you want a vintage Fender and bought a custom shop bass why would you put anything else in it? That's why custom shop basses are so exspensive, you are buying an instrument basically as it was made in that year! I'm by no means knocking anyone elses pups or pup makers as I own two sets of Fralins but those pups are installed in regular basses.
