Nordstrand J pickup sizes?

Anyone know why they changed the size of their J pickups to the larger casings?

to accommodate winding iirc. you still get j5's in either of the 3 sizes though.

Accomodate winding? Does that mean they actually change the actual design of the pickups too?

i think it might of been a number of turns vs wire gauge thing or something. you might want to hit carey up if youre interested because i guarantee no one here will be able to the answer. well, maybe other than mo or josh.
