Nordstrand MM5.4 pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there. Does anyone have any insight as to the different possible wiring configurations for the Nordstrand MM5.4 or MM4.4 pickup? I'm thinking about putting one in my Stingray 5 and the Nordstrand website doesn't have any info on it yet.

Thanks!

I have a MM5.whatever in my Traben, and it can be wired anyway you want it. (I currently have mine wired neck coil only)The pickup will come with wiring instructions that covers all the ways to wire up the pickup...
good luck!

Hey Guys,
Website update is coming soon...

In the meantime, Triclops is right. You can wire the MMx.4 pickups like any humbucker, which will allow front coil soloed, rear coil soloed, series or parallel. The pickup is not designed to be split across the strings. In other words, you can't wire it B and E separate from A, D, and G.
The reason for the quad coil set up is so the front and rear coil settings are hum cancelling by them selves.

Hope that helps.
