Every single pickup made by Nordstrand is waxed.

Sorry but I have several that are not. But they are all the 'big' type, Fatstacks, Big splits, and DC'c. Not potted.

Do you mean wax potted, as in vintage pickups, or epoxy potted?

impossible. We wax potted every pups.

You are confusing the two things. We don't epoxy our pups....

cool, that's what I wanted to know. I have some pickups that are not wax potted, or the potting broke down after the years, and they make all sorts of noise, from squealing to crackling to ticking

No. When I remove the covers I see wire. I don't see wax. Maybe the coating is very light/invisible? With Fender pups the wax is obvious. Can't see it in my Nords. Here's one of my Big Splits. My Fat Stacks are the same. Can't take the covers off my DC's though, so I don't know.
Anyway it doesn't seem to matter-they sound great.

Hey, glad you like it!

Nope, that's not me. My main job at Nords is to assemble the instruments, fret dressing, electronics, repairs, setups, mods, but not pups.

keep us posted....
