Nordstrand NJ4 or Seymour Duncan Antiquity II's to get closer to a 70's sound.

I just got a Fender Marcus Miller jazz bass, I love the retro style of the bass, it's just what I was looking for. and the bass is well constructed.

I've planned all along to change the preamp, probably to a J-retro MM.

I've read that the ones in Marcus's bass are real 70's Fender pickups, how similar to 'real' 70's pickups soundwise are the ones in my bass, they sound very harsh and thin, probably because there's no tone control.

I'm thinking of changing to either Nordstrand NJ4's or Seymour Duncan Antiquity II's, which of these would be closer to the sound of a real 70's Fender jazz pickup ?.

Thanks for your help, and happy Christmas !.
