Nordstrand NJ4SV Issue

I have this jazz pup and its distorting and cutting out. I checked the connection to the pots and their fine. If i push on the pickup it stops but it comes back from time to time. Is my pickup going bad or are the solder joints on the pups cold? Any ideas on what might be going on?

pushing down on them might be causing it to short out to the ground plate under the pickup perhaps?

No i push on it to make it work when its acting up. But some times its intermitent for no reason. It just started happening one day. It has a bayou cables harness in it and like i said the connections to the pots look good. dont know whats going on

Possibly a shorted voice coil...had similar issue with mine...contact Carey...their customer service is EXCELLENT!

+1 Recently had a problem with a hum when I put my thumb on the side of pup. Contacted Mike at Nordstrad and he said send them back and he would get me a new pair out the next day! He thought mine were from a batch of NOS that were bad. Best customer service ever!
