| Which Nordstrand pick-up

I'm considering another project and wonder which Nordstrand pick-up will give the sound I'm thinking. I've owned a bass with DCs with the 3-way switching and really liked the single coil mode. I really won't need the versatility of series/parallel. I have a bass now with underwound Big Singles. I like that sound but it has a bit of a mid bump. I'm looking for more of a flat or I guess mid scooped tone. And I don't want to lose any of the high end. I've read posts of guys using Fatstacks with the coil splitter and their responses sound like what I'm looking for. Will the Fatstacks be the answer?
