Nordstrand Pickups & Preamps Anyone?

Anyone familiar with the Nordstrands? How do they sound? The guitar tech I use has nothing but good to say about them but I've never heard of them.

I hate to be cliche, but a search brought up about a thousand threads.

I've never used the pickups, but I built the Nordstrand 3 band pre into a pedal that sounded phenominal. Try searching "Nordstrand" and you'll get 900+ threads...I've read nothing but good reviews on them.

The "Big Split" pickups sounds nice, especially in the bridge position. Think of a vintage Jazz tone with a stronger fundamental, growly midrange and a very nice top end. They are very responsive to different playing techniques.

The "Fat Stack" is similar to this, but the highs are rolled off just a bit and the overall tone is a bit thicker. Punch these and they bark.

The dual-coil models have a cleaner, more modern tone with a bit of a midrange scoop, but they still sound very good. They should work well for a clean slap tone.

Top notch stuff, that's for sure. Just use the search function.
