Can some of the resident Nordstrand enthusiests please help me out here?
I'm going to change the pickups in my Warwick Streamer stage 2(4 string)for a pair of Nordstrands.
I was thinking passive pickups & retaining the active 3 band eq that's already in it to see how it goes.
I'm after a less hifi,more vintage/traditional type tone.
What type of pickups do you guys reccomend I try?
2 of the same type?or one for the neck with a different type for the bridge?
Thanks for your time guys.I appreciate any advise I can get.

I don't have any practical experience with Nordy Jazz Shaped Pickup, but if you were to route!
More vintage/Tradtional, I'd say Big Splits
In my basses the Nordy Dual Coils are a little more "modern"
sounding and with series/single coil/ parallel switching, have a wide choice of great tones. the Big Splits are more of a real fat traditional (read fender) sound.
I have to admit I really like them both.

Thanks heaps for the advice Bill, very much appreciated.
I really cant bring myself to get the bass routed & I like the openess the single coils give a bass.
Last night I decided to include any brand in my search rather than limit it to Nordies.
I've had basses in the past with Barts,so I'm seriously considering some passive Barts & keeping the 3 band active MEC preamp.
Any & all advice &/or opinions are very much welcome & appreciated guys.
