"normal" jazz bass pickup resistance?

Sign in to disble this ad
I realize there is so much variation in the resistance of Jazz Bass pickups that "normal" might be meaningless, but I'm trying to understand what constitutes "overwound" or "underwound". Compared to what values for neck and bridge? What is average?

Thanks

fenders are about 7.5 k, that is "normal". Di Marizo ultra jazz is about 14 k. For me the best is... 9/10 k, thats hot without distort the signal..
