Norstrand & Audere

Just put a set of NJ4's on with an Audere Pre amp on a Jazz Bass. With the toggle swith positioned toward the neck it's cool. Switch it to the middle volume drops about 3 clicks
does the same towards the bridge. Anybody got any ideas?
Audere says connect the ground wire from the pickup I only have a black and white wire?

Have you adjusted the volume of the Low-Z mode as described in the instructions that came with the preamp?

Out of the box, Low-Z mode was quite a bit louder than Mid-Z and High-Z on my preamp, but after adjusting the trim pots, the three modes have equal levels.
