I have a early 2000's fender mexi deluxe jazz. it has the "fat pole" pick ups.

my prob is I'm getting nothing from the neck pick up. I changed the batt. didnt figure it had anything to do with it just did it. I looked at the pots and wires no visible wear. its still playable but just bridge only. any other places I should look?

FWIW:

Process is always the same, wire the pup in question straight to the jack. Since the jack works with the bridge, you know the pup is the source if it doesn't work (or you're soldering job). If you've got a meter you can just unsolder the leads and put a meter to it and skip the wiring to the jack.

If it works you know there's nothing wrong with the pup and the problem is elsewhere. First things first.

If that doesn't make sense or you don't know how to do it you probably should find somebody who does.
