Man, I have the best of intentions! I have an older MIM Standard P-bass, decided to upgrade the electronics. So, I picked up an Original 62 Precision Bass pickup (used, but it read a good 10.7 on my multimeter), a pair of CTS 250 solid-shaft pots, a Sprague .1mfd cap and a Switchcraft jack. Hooked everything up according to a 1962 USA RI wiring diagram since the pickup has the old copper ground plate. Plugged it in, barely has half the volume it used to. No hums, buzzes or hisses, just very little volume. Any ideas? Hope somebody has some thoughts. Thanks in advance!
