Such thing as a new pickup day?
Anyways finally got my EMG P pickups in the mail,had to wait til I got off work from this crazy few days (black friday,I work retail). Got them installed this morning and really surprised at how much they sound like my Seymour Duncan SPB-2s. More bite to them,and overall a little more thicker,but for the most part,not a big difference,minus a little more head room from being active.
I must add that I got the newer alnico pickups so that may be why they're so similar to my SDs. But I love them so far. I'd describe them as like the 1/4 pounders but still retains the mids of a p bass.
