obp-1 eating batteries?

Sign in to disble this ad
hey, i installed one of these pre's in my marcus 5. it sounds great, but it seems to eat my batteries fast. i seem to get about 3 weeks or so out of duracells! i put new batteries in last saturday and measured the voltage of both new batteries at 9.56v....since then ive maybe played about 12 hours total. the volts are both at 8.25v......does anyone have any experience with this issue? did i maybe wire somethin up wrong?

thanks

Are you leaving the bass plugged?

Make sure that the black from the battery clip that is going to the input jack is going to the sleeve portion of the jack.
If it's just going to ground, it stays connected as if a cable was plugged in.
