I'm installing an Aguilar OBP-1 preamp in my Mottola 6 string Jazz.
Question, should I leave the "5032" cap in between the blend and the volume controls or take it out when using this active Pre?
Here is the project: |

503Z indicates a 0.05uF capacitor.
I can't quite make out how it is wired in your picture. Where do the leads connect to? |

Now I have no output, just low radio station signal comes out when plugged into the amp. I think maybe I need to just take this to my tech. |

You know how there's usually three legs, when they are illustrated right side up the legs could be referred to as left center and right. I am talking about the right leg.
Either way I'll remove the cap but I dont think it's the problem that would cause NO output.... Something else is wrong, dunno what. |

Why is it not that simple? |

Here's a better overview (the white to blue from the vol pot center leg goes to the OBP-1)
Okay, BASIC question time:
Is the leg that I have all the blacks soldered to the ground on this stereo jack? The far leg is getting the 9V black lead, the opposite leg is getting the green from the OBP-1 as per the schematic.

The solder joint on that terminal is terrible though, you really need to re solder it nicely, otherwise it looks like you could pretty much just give the leads a firm tug and the joint would break. |
