Off The Beat'n Path Pickups?
I’m in the process of doing a P-Bass build and am trying to decide on the pick-up. I am zeroing in on the Bill Lawrence P-46, however I have discovered quite a few “obscure” makers and was wondering if anyone has had tried any of these or suggest others?

Like so many pickup winders, he has standard offerings he can make you. But he can also do one-off custom jobs that make your bass different from anything else out there, both sonically and aesthetically. If you send him a clip of something you like, tone-wise, he is very good at emulating what he hears. Plus, his customer service is stellar.
As to your list, I've used Rio Grande products in some guitar builds I've done. Great pickups, but they tend to run on the hot side. Even their vintage winds tend to be a little hot. Not a bad thing, but that might not be what you're looking for. Be prepared for that if you go with them.
